# Is there a limit to the number of songs I can create and manage with TuneSmith?

The number of songs is only limited by the available hard drive space. **Theoretically you can store up to 64 quadrillion records** provided TuneSmith's file size does not exceed **8 TB (terabytes)**. Both the Mac and the Windows versions can store an unlimited number of audio files per song.

{% hint style="warning" %}
It is important to note, however, that **Windows** users who formatted their hard drives with a **FAT** file structure will not be able to read or write a single file that is larger than **4GB**. Since the entire application of TuneSmith represents a single file it is preferable to **use NTSF** formatted hard drives whenever you wish to administer large song catalogs with numerous audio files.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://tunesmith-user-guide.idolumic.com/support/faq/is-there-a-limit-to-the-number-of-songs-i-can-create-and-manage-with-tunesmith.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
