# Clone Button

If you write a number of songs with the same collaborators, you can use the clone button to save time when adding new songs to your catalog. The button is located at the top left of the TuneSmith screen, next to the navigation button. It will let you **duplicate** all or part of the information entered into an **existing** **song** and transfer this copy to a **new** **song**.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can specify which song entries you wish to duplicate by going to the setup screen of TuneSmith.
{% endhint %}

Typically you want to select the copyright info and the copyright splits while leaving the rest of the duplication options unchecked. Please note that whenever the clone button is used to copy ‘Creative Talent’ records or ‘Pitch Journal’ records all entries will be duplicated by default.
